Twenty years in the parts of IT that only get noticed when they break.
Erwin Blezer has worked in network infrastructure and security since 1998, and independently through Blezer Networks since 2005.
Who we are
Erwin's career in network infrastructure and security began in 1998. For a decade, that work happened almost entirely inside the network of one global organisation - the kind of estate where nobody remembers why a given rule exists, only that removing it once took something down that nobody expected.
That decade set the pattern the company is built on: infrastructure outlives the people who built it, and whoever inherits it either has documentation or doesn't. Blezer Networks has run independently since 2005, taking that same discipline - measure first, document the reasoning, name what you are not doing - into network and security engagements across a range of organisations. The AI work is that discipline applied to a newer kind of infrastructure, not a separate career bolted onto the first one.
The AI work started about three years ago, before it was fashionable - first as architecture review, research and a second opinion, which is where the technology was genuinely useful at the time. What changed is maturity: the tooling is now good enough to build with, so the work has moved into applications, agentic workflows, replacing repetitive data handling, and reporting that turns a week of spreadsheet work into a dashboard.
How we work
Measure before building.
A baseline captured after go-live is not a baseline.
Show the working.
Every number comes with its assumptions listed separately.
Name what we will not do.
Every proposal states the options ruled out and why.
Make ourselves unnecessary.
A capable client is worth more than a dependent one.

Erwin leads every engagement personally, from the first conversation through hand-over.
For larger engagements we assemble a team from specialists we have worked with, and we tell you who they are before they start. We run a limited number of engagements at a time - if we are not free when you need us, you will hear that in the first conversation rather than after a proposal.
